So Why Should You Study the Bible?
The Bible claims to be the very word of God. (2 Peter 1:21) It claims to instruct us in how to live our lives. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) It claims to declare God's eternal promises. (Psalm 119:160) It claims to have the answers for every age and every life. It claims to show the way to eternal life. (John 3:16) It claims to answer the "Big" questions: Why are we here? (Ephesians 2:10) What is the meaning of life? (John 14:6) What happens when we die? (Hebrews 9:27) What is heaven like? (Revelation 21:4) If these are the claims of the Bible, isn't it worth your time to study it and find out? Can you really afford not to study? (2 Timothy 2:15)
These verses represent larger concepts or theological teachings of the Bible. While these individual verses don't fully explain each concept, they are representative of an overall truth. Our current Bible Study is on the Book of Romans. The study often leads us to other areas of the Bible, using Scripture to interpret Scripture, but we return to Romans as our main area of study at this time.
Please see the Romans Study to see where we have been, where we are, and where we are going in our study.
